Live Junction is a performance project which I started in 2010. It is inspired by Radio 3’s Late Junction. Using a creative and extremely versatile bunch of musicians we create performances which move seamlessly between a programme of classical, jazz, folk, world and pop music.
We have performed at King’s Place, The Vortex, Cecil Sharp House and Plush Festival Dorset to name but a few. Because of the diversity of our programming we pride ourselves on being able to suit almost any venue and enjoy this challenge.
By juxtaposing short works of extreme difference in mood, genre and instrumentation we hope to open people’s ears to forms of music they might never normally listen to, in an easy and accessible way.
